How Are Dental Veneers Placed?

Your dental veneers will be placed by Dr. Jammal and his expert cosmetic dentistry team in our Amherst office. Similar to receiving a bridge or crown, two appointments are typically required to give you the perfect veneers for your desired look. After your initial consultation with Dr. Jammal, you’ll return to prep your teeth and take an impression. Temporary veneers then will be bonded over your prepped teeth to prevent any sensitivity. About two weeks later, your custom designed porcelain veneers from our Amherst cosmetic dentistry team will be ready to bond into place. Dr. Jammal will remove your temporary veneers and cement each permanent veneer over the appropriate tooth. Because veneers are made of porcelain, they mimic the appearance and translucency of natural tooth enamel. They are also very durable, allowing your new smile to last for years to come.
